Milk thistle, protects the liver from many toxins including alcohol. Take recommended amount of capsules before and after drinking and every day if you are suffering from alcoholism.

Peppers, red or chili, containing capsaicin, are excellent home remedies for hangover. Put some dried, ground or powdered cayenne in a glass of tomato juice.

Wintergreen and willow contains an herbal form of aspirin which reduces headache. Use powdered willow bark or wintergreen tops and flowers to make a soothing, anti-hangover tea.

Honey is a good herbal remedy for hangover as are other fructose-rich foods. That’s because fructose helps metabolize alcohol. Many fruits contain fructose including dates that are 30% fructose so munch a couple of dates after drinking alcohol.
