The following discussion on herbal remedies for baldness is for rapid balding & for persons who’ve been bald for several years.
These are strategies for seemingly hopeless cases. But, for baldness just an herbal remedy wont do. No silver bullet to date.
However, there are strategies that increase the chances for any kind of success at 20 - 40% but intervention must also include a number of lifestyle changes.
If you have typical, advanced male pattern baldness, herbal remedies are numerous but only a few have shown any degree of success.
Photo left suggests an unusual candidate for an herbal baldness remedy - coffee. Or, rather, caffeine.
Scientists have found that hair follicles, dipped in caffeine, regrow. Caffeine may stimulate growth. Unfortunately, we don't know how to get that much caffeine into a hair follicle on top of a human's head. Stay tuned.
Some more practical options...
1)Take saw palmetto. Saw palmetto (serenoa repens) blocks of DHT which kills hair follicles. It also prevents prostate enlargement, a common problem for middle aged men.
2)Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) can also block DHT. Simply add licorice to your shampoo.
3)Rosemary (rosmarinus officinalis) combined with either olive or almond oil & massaged into scalp could improve hair quality. Use 2 parts oil to one part rosemary.
4)Sage tincture, added to your shampoo can also help quality of hair & may stall graying.
5)Ginkgo biloba is one of the best herbs for hair growth because it aids circulation.
6)Xanthoxylum clavaherculis aids circulation and promotes normal blood flow to extremities. One of the more important herbal remedies baldness,
7)Equisetum arvense is rich in minerals, especially silica, an important part of connective hair and nails
8)Achillea mill folium is a circulatory supporter and tonic.
9)Avena sativa (oats) a general nerve tonic, supports thyroid & hormones.
10)Echinacea supports the immune system helping free up processes for nonessential functions such as hair growth.
11)Chamomile Essential Oil has been used for centuries, helps to strengthen the capillaries that supply blood to the scalp and hair follicles and improve elasticity. It is also an excellent skin cleanser.
Herbal remedies 4 baldness are not enough
Oh, if it was as simple as treating baldness with an herbal remedy. But no, for male pattern baldness, you have to take a total, maybe radical approach to reverse it.
Also, even if you followed the program religiously, the chances for success would never be greater than 50%. The good news is that the program would make you much healthier and look better.
Much of this program is based on Gary Null’s strategy for baldness.
1)Aerobics 5x per week, working up to one hour daily.
2)Stress management: two ½ hour sessions per day consisting of meditation, prayer or guided visualizations.
3)Eliminate contaminants from your environment. Drink purified water, eat organic, get organic products like cleaners, etc. Air purifier.
4)Diet: eliminate caffeine, dairy, wheat, yeast, red meat, pork, chicken, artificial sweeteners and artificial preservatives. This is a tough one, I know. You are left with vegetables & fruits & nonglutenous starches.
